DDAP-RAX, as part of a delegation of Ukrainian railway industry manufacturers and service providers in the field of freight and passenger transportation, took an active part in the Trade Mission to Latvia, which took place on 07-08 April 2025 in Riga.
Representatives of DDAR-RAX joined all the events of the intensive business programme, which opened up an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the current issues of the railway industry in the Baltic region. The presentation of the large-scale Rail Baltica project at the office of the Latvian Railways and a visit to the construction site allowed us to feel the scale, truly understand the strategic importance of the project for the Baltic States and assess the prospects for joining it. The visit to the leading Latvian passenger transport operator allowed us to learn about approaches to organising production processes and rolling stock repair, which is useful for planning cooperation. Presentations by the Ministry of Transport of Latvia contributed to a deeper understanding of the industry, its current priorities and key areas of development.
The key element of the mission was B2B matchmaking - individual business meetings. Top managers of DDAR-RAX discussed potential areas of cooperation with private and state-owned railway companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and got acquainted with the terms of partnership and product certification requirements. They also identified the need for wheelset axles for railway and urban rail transport rolling stock.
"DDAP-RAX is already known in Europe as a reliable and responsible manufacturer of wheelset axles for rail transport rolling stock. Railway axles of the RAX brand - wagon and locomotive axles, wheelset axles for trams and subways, as well as for special rail transport - are successfully operated on European railways, confirming their quality and compliance with international standards.
Given the active integration of the Baltic countries into the European railway network, modernisation and expansion of the rolling stock fleet, cooperation with the manufacturer of railway axles DAP-RAX is promising and mutually beneficial.
